Beach
The Manatee County public beach, with its large car park, delightful little play area, volleyball nets and the Café on the Beach is perhaps the best base for a family day out on the beach. It can get a little crowded when the sun shines (quite often) but a short stroll along the beach should find you a quiet spot with the facilities nearby.
Museum
If your little ones really must have some education while on holiday get them over to the South Florida Museum in Bradenton where they can meet Snooty, the oldest living manatee in captivity.
